X400AXF RTL9607F

Stock firmware against OpenWrt on the SAME unit of this model. Every pair charted below was measured with the same instrument, at the same operating point -- that is the condition for appearing on a chart at all. A pair whose two halves were taken with different instruments, or at operating points that cannot be held together, is not charted: each figure keeps its qualifiers in the dated artifact these pages are generated from, and the certificate publishes the two of them as separate, individually attributed rows rather than as a difference. A point measured on only ONE firmware is published in its own table, never as a bar.

← all ported devices

Two frame sizes are published here. At 1400 B the gigabit cable itself runs out first -- 1424 B of wire time per frame caps any device on the link at about 87.8 thousand frames per second -- so the packet count at that size measures the WIRE, and these points are shown as bandwidth. At 60 B the link is far from full and the device is the limit, so those points stay in packets per second. The unit is chosen per chart and printed beside every figure. Every size the suite measures, and every qualifier each figure was measured with, stays in the dated artifact these pages are generated from.

WiFi, 2.4 GHz Mbps

Bars on this band: stock firmware, OpenWrt. Operating point: 2g/40MHz/HE/CCMP. No difference is claimed where only one firmware has a figure.

stock firmware OpenWrt WAN -> WiFi -- 1400 B 411 Mbps 274 Mbps full bar width = 411 Mbps -- each chart has its OWN scale

Not charted: each row below has a figure on one firmware and none on the other, so there is no pair to compare. The figure stands as it was measured; the empty column is a measurement we have not taken, never a result about the device.

Radio transmit power

Transmit power reported by the device at its operating point, against the ceiling the regulator permits there. One row per operating point, so the two firmwares are read side by side; the SSID beside each figure says which radio produced it.
